Abby Jimison

Abby Jimison (they/she) is a writer, dramaturg, and arts administrator with a BFA in Performing Arts (Theatre Concentration) from Western Kentucky University. What began as a love of stories and how they’re told, Abby has experience in many aspects of theatre. With a keen interest in telling forgotten and untold stories, Abby has served as a Dramaturg at Western Kentucky University and Florida Studio Theatre. Select dramaturgy credits include FooLs, She Kills Monsters, How to Draw a Triangle*, Sisters Then Sisters Now*, and A Night in November. Abby served as a Teaching Assistant for the upper-level Solo Performance Class at Western Kentucky University, where they mentored students in the creation, development, and performance of their original one-act plays. Abby produced Florida Studio Theatre’s 2024-2025 Forums Series, panel conversations designed to spark civic dialogue around plays programmed on FST’s stages. Additionally, Abby has worked as the Grant Manager at Florida Studio Theatre and Elementz Cincinnati, and currently serves in this capacity at Cincinnati Playhouse in the Park.
