Types of Monsters

You may be wondering: "What types of monsters do characters come across in D&D?"

The answer is: a lot. In Dungeons & Dragons 5th edition, creatures are placed in one of fourteen types: aberration, beast, celestial, construct, dragon, elemental, fey, fiend, giant, humanoid, monstrosity, ooze, plant, or undead.
